University of Lisbon

The University of Lisbon is Portugal's largest university, formed in 2013 by merging the former Technical University and University of Lisbon, and includes Instituto Superior Técnico and ISEG.

The University of Coimbra, founded in 1290, is Portugal's oldest university and one of the oldest in the world; its historic buildings are a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The University of Porto, founded in 1911, is one of Portugal's largest universities, with 14 faculties including the Faculty of Architecture (FAUP) and strong engineering and medicine programmes.
