The German University of Technology in Oman (GUtech) is a private university in Halban, Muscat, founded in 2007. It was established in cooperation with RWTH Aachen University in Germany, which accredits its programmes under German academic standards.
GUtech offers bachelor's degrees in computer science, urban planning and architectural design, applied geosciences, environmental engineering, process engineering, mechanical engineering, logistics and international business, along with master's programmes. Students may complete periods of study or internships in Germany.
Teaching is in English, preceded by a foundation year for students who need it.
